Special Cover released from Chandigarh on 01-10-2024

Panjab University, Chandigarh commemorated the 100th birth anniversary of late Om Parkash Vig, former chairperson of Panjab University, Department of Chemistry, by releasing a biography chronicling his life, achievements, and scientific contributions. A Special Cover by India Post was also released on the occasion on 01-10-2024.

Bhagat Singh (28 September 1907 – 23 March 1931) was an Indian socialist revolutionary whose two acts of dramatic violence against the British in India and execution at age 23 made him a folk hero of the Indian independence movement.
